Broadway veteran Lisa Brescia to speak to College Audition Prep Weekend


We are thrilled to announce a special guest speaker for College Audition Prep Weekend '22! Broadway veteran Lisa Brescia will be speaking with our CAPW students, sharing her journey to Broadway.


On Broadway, Lisa has starred as Heidi Hansen in Dear Evan Hansen, Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia!, Elphaba in Wicked, Cleo in Twyla Tharp’s The Times They Are A-Changin’, Amneris in Aida, and Marion Halcolmbe in The Woman in White. Additional New York credits include the role of Helena in All’s Well That Ends Well and Claire in Ordinary Days. Regional credits include Tatiana Racon in the premiere of Ken Ludwig’s A Comedy of Tenors, Hermione in The Winter’s Tale, Gertrude in Hamlet, Ivy in August: Osage County, Anna in Sister Play, Betty Blake in The Will Rogers Follies, Victoria in Victor Victoria, Sally in Cabaret, Kennedy Center’s Broadway: Three Generations – Side Show (Violet), Into the Woods (Witch), The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown (Mom), Evita (Eva), The Last 5 Years (Cathy), A Little Night Music (Petra), and Brigadoon (Meg). Lisa is married to Broadway composer-lyricist Craig Carnelia and lives in Columbia, Missouri, where she is an Associate Professor of Acting at Stephens Conservatory for the Performing Arts. We begin College Audition Prep Weekend (really, it's FIVE DAYS of information packed fun and learning) in a little more than a week.
