We are delighted to announce registration is open for College Audition Prep Intensive and College Audition Prep Weekend for 2020! North Texas' original and most comprehensive one-stop-shop for high school student performers to hone their audition skills and prepare for college theater program auditions.
College Audition Prep is back with an expanded two week stay camp hosted at Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas featuring Special Guest Speakers Tony Award Winning Broadway Producer Ken Davenport and Broadway Casting Agent Rachel Hoffman! Among the cavalcade of Broadway veterans and university faculty we are happy to include for the first time this year Cincinnati School of Music (CCM) Professor Emeritus of Musical Theatre Aubrey Berg. Students will participate in mock auditions and dance calls and get one-on-one feedback from college faculty, attend college theater program overview presentations and meet and greet networking sessions with college faculty and program directors.
College Audition Prep Intensive and College Audition Prep Weekend are the best, most cost effective way for students and parents to prepare for the highly competitive college audition/application process. We have many talented young performers attend College Audition Prep Weeeknd- not only are they going on to attend college theater programs, but they are working professionally as well! Currently Chris Clark, an alum of CAP Weekend and a Musical Theatre graduate of Texas State University, is embarking in a national tour as lead of ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE. Â
Allie Doke, who participated in CAP Weekend, is taking a leap year after graduating from Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy to audition for projects in Hollywood. She has the  lead in Lifetime’s movie PSYCHO BFF!
Congratulations to them both! We are sure we will see more great things from them and other CAPW alumni in the future.
