Changes for College Audition Prep Intensive 2020

Due to ongoing Covid 19 issues and uncertainty regarding health and safety protocols for our students who would be staying on campus we have made the difficult decision to cancel our two week College Audition Prep Intensive and concentrate our efforts on the four day College Audition Prep Weekend (the last part of the two weeks, August 6-9). We believe in this way we can better insure the safety of our attending students  while still maximizing the benefits of the camp. What is most important to us is the safety and health of the students.

Students will still be able to attend seminars and master classes with an amazing faculty of  Broadway veterans headed by New York Casting Director and College Audition Coach Dave Clemmons. These include:  Broadway and European tour Phantom from Phantom of the Opera star David Gaschen; Texas State University head of Musical Theatre, Kaitlin Hopkins;  Texas Tech head of Musical Theatre, Dean Nolen; Missouri State University head of Musical Theatre, Robert Westerberg;, Director, Choreographer and Texas Christian University Associate Professor of Musical Theatre Penny Ann Maas, and more.

Due to the climate we are currently in with COVID-19, we have added two additional workshops. One on mental health and wellness for the performer and the other on how to do a virtual audition. Although we will continue to work with students on "in person" auditions, we do not know what the audition season will look like this year, and want to make sure that you are prepared to be seen in person as well as virtually, as these are two totally different mediums. This will be a rare opportunity for students to hone their audition skills and to be seen by some top college directors, recruiters, and professionals.
